8BY8 VISUAL DIAGRAM
DESCRIPTION
8BY8 is a sports technology platform that helps users streamline video workflows—enabling them to capture, integrate, access, and share footage more efficiently. They approached me with a very basic spider diagram outlining how their platform works and asked me to transform it into a clear, engaging, and dynamic visual.

ROLE
Graphic Designer
For the design, I created a central hub featuring the 8BY8 logo, with four surrounding 3D-style platforms representing each core stage of the workflow: Capture, Integrate, Access, and Share. Replacing the plain text with visual graphics, I decorated each platform with bespoke vector artwork, which I created in Adobe Illustrator, to make the information easier to absorb. Using arrowed lines, lighting effects, and subtle bursts of colour, I help to guide the viewer’s eye. I brought the design to life in After Effects to create a cohesive, polished moving diagram.

ORIGINAL DIAGRAMS:
Here are the rough spider diagrams which the client gave me, which explains how their platform works to clients and stakeholders. Since this was the only brief I was given, I had full creative freedom to transform their basic diagram into a visually dynamic design. The final result turned a dull concept into an engaging visual map of the 8BY8 system—something the client was thrilled to use across their website.

WORK IN SITU:
The visual diagram that I designed was used on the company website to help promote the product and engage with it's target audience. Here are examples of the design in use on the 8BY8 website.
