DESCRIPTION
I worked for Discovery+ Sport to create digital key art and title treatment for the Right To Race documentary, which was used across their streaming platforms to promote the film.
The documentary follows running talent Dominic on his inspiring journey, discovered as a 15 year old orphan in Nairobi, travelling to Switzerland to meet his coach and friend Markus Hagmann, to eventually making it into the Olympic Games.

PROCESS:
The key art I designed had to fit within a variety of different specs so that it could work on any sized device, but the existing image I was given was too zoomed in to work with. To get around this issue, I carefully cut around the talent and descretley added his chest and head to the legs of another running photo I sourced from Getty. I then placed this in front of a background I found which closely matched the original image background, and graded everything to make the shot look natural.

Leg Layer Source
After retouching and grading the key art image and designing the title treatment, it was time to assembled all into a pre-designed Photoshop master file provided by Discovery+. This file contained a range of preset layouts in multiple aspect ratios. I carefully adjusted each composition, repositioning and scaling layers as needed to match the client's layout guides. This ensured the key art would display seamlessly across a variety of digital formats — from mobile and web banners to widescreen TV and square thumbnails. Here is a sneak peak of the key art positioned within the master guide.

WORK IN SITU:
Here are examples of the final deliverables, exactly as they were displayed on the Discovery+ streaming platform.
