ILLUSTRATION

This photo study was a personal project to improve my skills on shading and photo realism. I created it on the procreate app.
Through the
Looking Glass

This was a self-portrait I
created while stuck in
lockdown. I used the
procreate app paired with
my apple pencil.

"People who use others as stepping stones will one day lose their balance".
This was a personal project I set myself to showcase my ability to capture emotion in my work.
I illustrated this piece using procreate.
Karma

Since going to Calais to help feed refugees in a camp there, I couldn’t shake how it made me feel. Then I read a news article about an over crowded refugee camp in Greece which caught fire, killing a woman and child. When the migrants began protesting about the unsafe living conditions, the police responded by just throwing teargas in their faces. This illustration is my way of expressing my disbelief that this crisis is still continuing and how no one seems to care.

to practice drawing light.
Reflection

I drew this in June 2020 during the huge black lives matter surge following the death of George Flloyd.
My message was to remember all the people who’s names we never learnt, because they weren’t fortunate enough to have their injustices recorded on an iPhone.
I Can't Breath
#BLM

I sketched this for the 100-year anniversary of the first world war. It is a personal project to remember all the soldiers who never returned home 100 years ago

Fire in the
Refugee Camp

This illustration was inspired by my recent travels through the mountains and rural villages of North Vietnam.
I drove a moped through Ha Giang mountains for 3 days, and on the way past these young girls selling flower crows on the side of the road. I drew this memory of a few days after my trip as a constant reminder of my travels in Vietnam.
Ha Giang Loop

I doodled this whilst
watching Elon Musk
launch one of his

on March 30th
2020.

My quick 1-hour doodle to celebrate international yoga day. I was too busy that day to participate in any actual exercise so I just illustrated some yoga characters instead.. that counts right?
