DESCRIPTION
I created 3 short animations for a series on perinatal loss. Each video followed a different character as they experience the loss of a baby at various stages of their pregnancies. This is the first video in the series, which follows a muslim couple's story as they cope after a late stage miscarriage.
This animation series was commissioned by the Maternal Mental Health Service (MMHS), an NHS funded team who support women, their partners and families living in Birmingham and Solihull who have experienced perinatal loss and have associated mental health difficulties.
1ST ANIMATION
The client gave me a lot of creative freedom with this animation series. Their only requirements were to have a culturally diverse range of characters, to refrain from using captions or narration as to appeal to all languages, and to direct viewers to the places they can seek help if they need.
